Milaga-music review

July 9th, 2010

“Milaga ‘is the movie produced by Sujith Sarkar and Shyam Sundar N under the banner of Sree Nataraj Arts. It is a comedy too hot and spicy masala entertainer in the Madurai slang.

Ace camera called Natraj affectionately as nuts has become a hero with this movie in Madurai rustic. Poongodi and Suja are the heroines of this movie. The hero is a trader of Chile and her heroines are college students. Singam Puli, Jaganath Kumar and GM are some others in the cast.

Ravi Maria is the director of this movie. Balaji V Ranga has handled the camera.

About the film Ravi Maria said that the basis of the movie is the feeling of helplessness when you get to know you have hurt someone close to you unaware and then try to compensate for the facts. Kalaipuli S Thanu is releasing this film under the banner of V Creations

Sabesh-Murali has composed the music for this film.

For he continues his good run in this genre also revived.Produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram and directed by Simbhu Devan, the film has Lawrence Raghavan, Padmapriya, Lakshmi Rai, and Sandhya in the division. A look at the songs of the film:

1. Vellaikari Nee
Singer: K M Balaji, Ramya, Bhargav

A perfect opening for the album. A song men through all time with rough and full of life score. The rap interludes are quite catchy. Balaji singing style dresses well. Ramya and Bhargav chip with his best effort.

2. Nenjam Nenjam
Singer: G V Prakash, Harini, Sulabh

Prakash has proved his mastery up with a number of groovy jazz with himself at the helm of affairs (vocals). A pleasant mood prevails over sense of wellbeing. Prakash youth version is the hallmark of the song. Does the high potential of the lists of audio.

3. Ilanthamizha
Singer: Tippu

A movie without a cowboy song with a Caribbean touch is unimaginable. The rhythms, percussion and wind instruments make shine. The lyrics are interesting and gives you Tippu her singing with her graceful.

4. Kann Nee Enna
Singer: Bombay Jayashri, Navin Iyer, Srinivas D A

A song inspired by the classical fusion feel good in our ears. Instruments such as mridangam, flute and accompaniment of the swaras Ghatam well. This is a woman who yearns for his beloved which is pretty amazing. Bombay Jayashree and was impressed with all the honors.

5. Raja Singam
Singer: Rahul Nambiar, Shakti, Bigger Nikko

The song of the album actually. Sets the tone of the film – which is in the children of the cow.The gun sounds, horses galloping, together with easy lyrics. A number who leave an impact with young people. Prakash instrumentation is the USP.

6. War Theme

Smile and a composition that provides relief to the listeners. Start an unconventional note and proceed the same way.

7. Irumbu
Theme music

In step accelerated trumpets plays several instruments full of life that accompanies it, this is perhaps the number of sticky topic heard in recent times. I take my hat V Prakash G. Overall the album has a touch of Western influence with some new and interesting sounds.Prakash has tried new things. good show.

Guru Sishyan Music Review

June 30th, 2010

Music Movie Shakti Chidambaram should be democracy, as commercial potboilers are strong director. Music composer Dheena seems to have understood this, as songs composed by him ‘is sure to thrill Sishyan Guru’ goal audience. In other words, Dheena has proven once again that can come with too many numbers to appease the judges first . The voices led by a young team, support it too. The highlight of the album is a song rendered by Sathyaraj and Sundar  C

Produced by Radha Shakti Chidambaram, the movie has Sathyaraj, Sundar C, Shruthi, Santhanam and Saranyó in leading roles.

1. Aandava Aandava
Singer: Tippu, lyricist: Kabila

Dheena begins with a brisk note. Tippu is happy this song. The lyrics evoke laughter in the audience immediately. Over a series full of life, could make its way into the charts.

2. Katha Katha
Singer: Belliraj, Rita Dheena, lyricist: Kabila

“Irandal Kangal …” Belliraj fame combined with Rita and the composer himself Dheena for this song which is dominated by the letter. The flute melody that accompanies the lyrics is a pleasure to hear. A melody that is markedly different from the other numbers in this album.

3. Vaangonna
Singer: Suchitra lyricist,: Vaals

A remix of the successful series’ Bhadrakali. The song is strong and full of life has been given the same energy. An old wine in new bottle, the number has been sung by Suchitra appropriate that exudes energy. Although the original was much better, the rhythm of the song can be clicked.

4. Aattaiyai Podu
Singer: N V P Venkat, Rita Dheena
Lyricist: Kabila

Once again in brisk numbers. But the magic is in the letter. Apparently, describing a woman, the number has some strange percussion sounds. Dheena has what music fans want in this life full of song.

5. Subbiah, Subbiah
Singer: Sathyaraj, Sundar C, Chinn Ponnu
Lyricist: Kabila

It was a great bet by Sundar C and Dheena have Sathyaraj singing this song. But it was worth it too. They have combined well to sing the number that is entertaining. Apparently, a discussion between the Guru and Sishyan, the song has lyrics that are fun and pleasant to listen to.Cheers Dheena.

In general, a typical disk Dheena is fast, fun and spicy. Shakti Chidambaram has brought the melodies that complement this movie.

Sura-music review

June 26th, 2010

Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay’s 50th film is “Sura” music has been scored by Mani Sharma, the man who is supposedly busy with Tamil and Telugu projects. May be occupied, has left little time with the subjects that used the best Telugu their achievements in this album.

The music is a delight for Vijay fans with too few numbers that could excite and imagine dancing to Vijay, is a visual delight in the theaters.Mani Sharma has used four veteran songwriters including Vaals, Na. Muthukumar, Kabila and Sneh, who all did a decent job considering the image Vijay too.

1. Thanjavoor Jillakkari

Singers: Hemachandra and   Saindhavi,Lyricist: Na. Muthukumar

A youthful and fast song that will definitely match Vijay’s dancing talent. The humming at the back is hum-worthy and will echo in your mind. Hemachandra and Saindhavi add that essential pep in this duet. A noticeable point in the song is the usage of the chorus and the humming in between verses. The beats might remind you of a few songs composed by Mani Sharma before. And just like the trend would be, a few English words in the lyrics have been penned by Muthukumar, making this number youthful.

2.Vanga Kadal Ellai

Singers: Naveen and Maladhi Lakshmanan,Lyricist: Kabilan

This is a mass number with folk beats and a quintessential Vijay movie song. Nothing really in this song will entertain you. Even the lyrics won’t find your attention and you may even feel déjà vu listening to the music.

Aattanayagan Music Review

June 20th, 2010

Srikanth Deva is synonymous with brilliant music and lively. Their numbers have found a strong decent lists more than once. I ‘Aattanayagan’ is more to the list of his films. Produced by K Muralidharan, V Swaminathan, and TS Lakshmi Rangarajan and directed by filmmakers Krishnaram, film stars and Shakti Remy Nambeesan in leading roles. The album has six numbers sung by Shankar Mahadevan taste, Udit Narayan, Sadhana Sargam and Anuradha Sreeram among others. The songs are typical of Srikanth Deva and accompanied by lively rhythms.

As for what awaits them on the disk:

Written by Vaals, the song stands for the energy which is Shankar Mahadevan. Pure and fascinating, catchy song with lyrics is nice to listen to Vaals.

2. Pattam Pooch
Singer: Karthik, Sadhana Sargam

The veteran is in Vaals him again. The track was sung by Karthik and Sadhana Sargam is the East meeting West. A fusion of Indian and western percussion note, the song is nice to hear.Sadhana Tamil diction is impeccable.

3. Chekka
Singer: Udit Narayan, Anuradha Sreeram

Biggie two together to give the energetic song ever. Both Udit and Anuradha have made a name for singing duets as spicy in the past. They met all expectations here. Srikanth Deva has used additional beats and rhythms to work.

4. Vaarthaiyala
Singer: Harich

A somber song on the album that talks about the pain and separation. Written by Vaals, the number has in his life thanks to the good supply of Harich. A short and slow.

5. Onnarooba
Singer: Velmurugan

A popular country song ever got appease the masses. Srikanth Deva has come up with songs in the past also attract music lovers on earth. The newest in the list is Onnarooba. With traditional instruments of Southern India Vivega well with the songs, the song is haunting and stunning.

6. Aattattha Paaru
Singer: Naveen, Meghan

The song Krishnaraam, is a fast one. The melody sounds more familiar. More heavy beats and interludes, a signature style of Srikanth Deva.

In general, Srikanth Deva has not disappointed his fans. However, some issues are given a feeling of having a sense before.

paiya

June 16th, 2010

if someone says that Yuvan Shankar Raja is not in his best form this year, clearly had not heard the songs of Paiyaa. The composer of the music has come out with a beautiful album, in partnership with Lingusamy, who has five spangled songs that make you fall in love as soon as you hear it. Lending ample support to claim that starred Karthi Lingusamy Tamannah be an artist-hot and windy, Yuvan’s songs create the perfect environment in addition to raising levels of expectation in the movie.

1. Adad Mazhar
Singer: Rahul Nambiar, Saindhavi

Remember him in ‘Deepavali Dhavan Pott …’ from ‘Sandakozhi’ is’ Adad Mazhar … ”The song Saindhavi Rahul Nambiar and sounds good and creates a cheerful mood. Saindhavi delivery towards the end is remarkable. Yuvan popular template works fine.

2. In Kadhal Solla
Singer: Yuvan

Touches the soul immediately. Yuvan, as usual, excels especially in the orchestration in the first interlude. The part that comes humming softly in the background in the medium is addictive. Yuvan has improved greatly in the deliveries, we can say by all means.

3. Poongatre Poongatre
Singer: Benny Dayal

A catchy melody, ‘Poongatre Poongatre “gives a feeling fascinating life faithful to the letter. Benny Dayal delivering added value to the letter. The song has all the ingredients to strike a deal with the younger generation.

4. Suthudhe Suthudhe
Singer: Karthik, Sunitha Sarathy

The cream of the soundtrack is’ Suthudhe Suthudue. The song, which starts in a joint note, and take captive soon as you move. The little ‘ra-ra-ra-Radha “is impressive and is sure to be humming • lejada the public in the coming days.

5. Thuli thuli
Singer: Haricharan, Tanvi

The song is so beautifully rendered by Harich and thoongathey. The music in the beginning and ’sel sel sel avaludan “part is very good, although I recall some previous catchy songs. The melody and lyrics by Na Muthukumar complement each other.

In general, ‘Paiyaa’ strikes a deal soon with all the qualities to finish the cards. In other words, Lingusamy has extracted the best from Yuvan.

pensingam songs

June 4th, 2010

1. Poo Pookkum

Singer: Sadhana Sargam,Lyricist: Vairamuthu

Looks a heroine introduction song like that of you had for Revathi or Nadhiya in the 80s. The heavy chorus and instrumentation has a deep north Indian feel. In Sadhana Sargam’s voice the feel is stronger. The lyric is very philosophical and touches you more when you realize it is for a female protagonist and not a male hero. Most elements of this song are not new and often heard before. In spite of all the song is hummable and scream the power of woman.

2. Aaha Veenaiyil Ezhuvadhu

Singers: S P. Balasubramaniam, Chitra,Lyricist: M. Karunanidhi

You get hooked to this song right from the first nadaswarm and tabla. The imagery in the lyric let your imagination fly. Deva touches classical rarely and when he does he surprises you. Chorus here is handled deftly. Very pleasing Sur, Tal orchestration and the intermittent alaaps are tranquillizers. Another great thing in this is pure Tamil lyric which is melodious. SPB and Chitra reiterate they are the best of the current lot.  Worthy of leading any chart. Pick of the pack.

3. Kalyanam Agaadha Penne

Singers: S P. Balasubramaniam,Lyricist: Bharathidasan

A short rendition calling women to stand up for their rights and values they believe in. Revolutionary words of Bharathidasan have been put to a tune. SPB emboldens the song.

4. Silsilla Sisilla

Singers: Shankar Mahadevan, Anuradha Sriram,Lyricist: Pa. Vijay

A typical Deva kuthu exemplified by the masters Shankar Mahadevan and Anuradha Sriram. It’s fast, furious and peppy. This is the item song picturised on Larencce and Lakshmi Rai. There is also a rap bit in the middle that adds a current touch. Pa. Vijay’s lyric is rhythmic and will hold for a while. We like it.

5. Nee Sonnaal

Singers: Hariharan, Madhumitha,Lyricist: Vairamuthu

If ‘Aaha Veenaiyil Ezhuvadhu’ was an orthodox duet this is contemporary and very engaging. Energetic instruments usage by Deva. No rocky efforts. Hariharan and Madhimitha have come good. A neat song.

6. Adi Adi

Singer: Naveen,Lyricist: Vaali

Ah.. Deva cannot stay away from his trade marks. A ‘pucca local’ song which is really fast. Instruments dominate and no body bothers. That’s all there.

‘Pensingam’ songs will surprise you if you have had an image conceived on the film as a whole. Almost all songs are worth a listen. The variety of the songs in this album is also a surprise. Deva has used the right singers for the right kind of songs. The only oddness (but passable) is that a few songs have a Lakshmikanth-Pyarelal flavour.

Maathi yosi songs

May 31st, 2010

1. Dhom Dhom

Singer: Kalyan

A romantic song which is splendid, loud and strong. But the cooling factor has been the use of gentle flute interludes. Kalyan has sung it with gusto.

2. Aathili Pithili

Singer: Malathi, Suresh, Kalyan, Sadha

A mass number that is racy and peppy all through. It is a romantic duet apparently aimed at front-benchers. The good use of percussion is a pleasure to listen. Guru Kalyan should be appreciated for not following a conventional pattern of Saranam or Pallavis here.

3. Methuvai Methuvai

Singer: Karthik, Jeya, Rajagopal

Soft on ears, the song is interesting from the word go. Like a gentle evening drizzle, the number has everything to cherish for a melody-lover. The Thavil interludes are catchy. A classical backing from Guru Kalyan is evident in the number

4. Ponnu Iva Pootha

Singer: Karthikeyan, Guru Kalyan

Heard of many such numbers from Illayaraja. A song set in an important stage of a girl’s life has simple lyrics and good use of earthy rural instruments including Nadhaswaram. The duo of Karthikeyan and Guru Kalyan rocks.

5. Mathithan Yosidaa

Singer: Prashanthini, Satyan

The title song of the album. It is a number that motivates one to think wild and free. The pace at which it progresses would make it very popular. Prashanthini and Satyan sing it with passion.

6. Acham Thavir

Singer: Kalyan

Inspired by great poet Bharathiyar’s Pudhiya Athichudi is this song. Quite like the Mahakavi himself, it is brimming with hope, joy and anger at places. This inspirational song gets more polished thanks to splendid use of violin.

All credits to newcomer Guru Kalyan. His songs are set in a fresh pattern and are sweet to listen to. The singers too impress. With immense talent, the music composer is sure to go places.

Virundali music review

May 26th, 2010

1. Endhan Uyire -

Singer: Yash Golcha,Lyricist: Murugan Manthiram

“Endhan Uyire” is a rhythmic solo love song. The tune is energetic and is very youthful. Interludes are the ones that have a score. S S Kumaran as always doesn’t dominate with his instruments in solo numbers. Yash Golcha’s voice is north Indian and it may justify saying present generation wants this type.

2. Eppodhu Un Jannal

Singers: Hariharan, Mahalakshmi Iyer,Lyricist: Victor Doss

This is a duet which sounds very usual. The slow melody brings Hariharan-Mahalakshmi to the fore. But these two singers are versatile and could have been used better. How ever a decent number.

3. Kadithame Kadithame

Singer: S S. Kumaran,Lyricist: Murugan Manthiram

The guitars and violins remind you many old songs. To add to that feeling is the voice of S S Kumaran. The music director tries to do a Illayaraja by choosing a pathos to lend voice. But the high pitch doesn’t come through and sounds bass.

4. Kokha Kozhi

Singers: Chinmayee, Vinitha, Srimathi,Lyricist: Murugan Manthiram

A village folk by the music, lyric and voices. The lyric has heavily borrowed thoughts from “Bllelaka” song in ‘Sivaji’. Even the character sounds the same, a city girl returning the village. But Chinmayee takes it through. As been the recent trend if it is village song the music director brings in some children to do a bit and chorus. A very okay song lifted up by Chinmayee.

5. Singam Varudhu

Singers: Yash Golcha, Prasanna, S S. Kumaran, Rajiv,Lyricist: Victor Doss

Again a village folksy song with very local feel. Seems a thiruvizha song and the parai, urumi, nadaswaram give that feel of the soil. A festive group outburst.

6. Aasai Arakki

Singer: Yash Golcha

Another kind of ‘Endhan Uyire’ and here the boy calls for love. The girl retorts with her point of view. Nice beats makes it simple and likeable. Singer Yash Golcha comes well in this song than the previous songs. This may be the Pick of the pack.

The songs of ‘Virunthali’ are not some thing knew we would have wanted from the music director of ‘Poo’. See, even after four films we tend to call him ‘Poo’ music director. How ever S S Kumaran has definitely come out better that the other recent release ‘Kalavani’. Kokha Kozhi and Aasai Arakki will be on the charts for some time.
